Am Samstag, 12. September 2026, verwandelt sich die Halfpipe im Freizeitpark Rheinaue in die Bühne für Deutschlands beste Vert-Skateboarder: Der traditionelle Bonner Vert-Skateboard-Event BONN BASH findet in diesem Jahr erstmals als offizielle Deutsche Meisterschaft im Skateboarding Vert statt. Veranstaltet wird der Contest vom Verein SuBCulture Bonn e.V., der die Rheinauen-Halfpipe seit Jahren als festen Trainings- und Wettkampfort in Bonn erhält.
Start ist um 10 Uhr, das Event läuft mit offenem Ende. Neben dem sportlichen Wettkampf erwartet die Besucherinnen und Besucher ein Rahmenprogramm mit Verpflegung: zwei Food Trucks, ein Getränkestand und ein Kaffeeroller sorgen vor Ort für Versorgung.
Hintergrund
Eine der traditionsreichsten Vert-Rampen Deutschlands Die Halfpipe in der Bonner Rheinaue gilt als eine der bedeutendsten Outdoor-Vert-Rampen Deutschlands und war bereits Schauplatz internationaler Contests wie der Eastpak SuB Session, der Ezekiel Subvert Session und des Rheinkultur Vert Jam. Die heutige Rampe – eine 12 Meter breite, 4,25 Meter hohe G-Ramp mit Skateflex©-Belag – wurde von SuBCulture Bonn e.V. mit Unterstützung der Sparkasse KölnBonn und zahlreicher Helfer aufgebaut und erhalten, nachdem die ursprüngliche Rampe altersbedingt gesperrt werden musste. Während Vert-Contests europaweit immer seltener werden, hält Bonn mit dem BONN BASH eine der letzten großen Traditionen dieser Skateboard-Disziplin lebendig – und wird 2026 mit der Ausrichtung der offiziellen & offenen Deutschen Meisterschaft zum sportlichen Höhepunkt der Szene. Der Contest findet bei trockenem Wetter am 12.09.2026 statt. Offizieller Veranstaltungsbeginn ist 10 Uhr. Der erste Contest beginnt voraussichtlich 11 Uhr mit der Kategorie Kids. Wir behalten uns die Veröffentlichung eines Zeitplans vor, da dieser erst am Veranstaltungstag in Abhängigkeit der Größe des Starterfeldes finalisiert werden kann.

Men – Pro/Am Kategorie Männer, Altersklasse 14 – 39 Jahre: zum einen Wertung der offenen Competition (Bonn Bash), zum anderen Wertung für Deutsche Meisterschaft (Voraussetzung: deutsche Staatsangehörigkeit, Vereinsmitgliedschaft in einem dem Dachverband DRIV angehörigen Skateboardverein), Preisgeld & Sachpreise für Bonn Bash 2026 Men und Preisgeld für Deutschen Meister.
Women – Pro/Am Kategorie Frauen/FLINTA*, Altersklasse 14 – 39 Jahre: zum einen Wertung der offenen Competition (Bonn Bash), zum anderen Wertung für Deutsche Meisterschaft (Voraussetzung: deutsche Staatsangehörigkeit, Vereinsmitgliedschaft in einem dem Dachverband DRIV angehörigen Skateboardverein), Preisgeld & Sachpreise für Bonn Bash 2026 Women und Preisgeld für Deutschen Meisterin.
Kids – Altersklasse unter 14 Jahren, Mädchen & Jungen, Keine Wertung für Deutsche Meisterschaft, Sachpreise
Masters – Altersklasse ab 40 Jahren, Männer & Frauen, Keine Wertung für Deutsche Meisterschaft, Preisgeld & Sachpreise
Es kann nur in einer Kategorie gestartet werden. Kids & Master dürfen alternativ auch in Kategorie Pro/Am starten. Den Titel offizieller Deutscher Meister & offizielle Deutsche Meisterin können gemäß aktueller Satzung nur StarterInnen ab 14 Jahre erhalten.
Contest Format
Beim Bonn Bash 2026 kommt das von World Skate offiziell anerkannte „Jam-Format“ zum Einsatz: Dabei teilen sich Gruppen von 3 bis 9 Skatern für eine festgelegte Zeit (10 -15 Minuten) die Vertramp. Anstatt völlig isoliert nach einem starren Zeitplan für Einzelläufe anzutreten, absolvieren die Skater innerhalb ihrer Gruppe abwechselnd individuelle Läufe oder Trickversuche gemäß einer festgelegten Startreihenfolge. Die Veröffentlichung der Punktevergabe erfolgt nach Ablauf der gesamten Kategorie. Jeder Heat erhält vorher 10 -15 Minuten Practice. Es wird in jeder Kategorie einen Qualification Jam geben. Die besten 6 FahrerInnen aus dieser Vorrunde qualifizieren sich für das Finale. Die Punkte (0-100 Punkte) der FahrerInnen ergeben am Ende das Ranking in der jeweiligen Kategorie. Der und die beste FahrerIn in den Kategorien Men & Women mit Qualifikation für die Wertung der Deutschen Meisterschaft wird am Ende Deutscher MeisterIn. Der Kids Contest wird direkt als Finale ausgetragen.
Als letzter Event findet der Best Trick Contest statt. Berechtigt zur Teilnahme ist jede/r angemeldete FahrerIn. 20 – 30 Minuten Best Trick Practice. 20-30 Minuten Best Trick Session. Der /die FahrerIn mit dem besten Trick gewinnt.
Zusätzlich wird es über den Tag Open Practice Session in der Länge von ca. 30 Minuten geben. Am Veranstaltungstag ist in der Zeit bis 11 Uhr Open Practice. Die Rampe steht für in den Tagen vor der Veranstaltung ebenso jederzeit bereit für gemeinsame Practice Sessions.
Was bedeutet FLINTA*?
FLINTA* steht für Frauen, Lesben, inter*, nicht binäre, trans*, und ageschlechtliche Personen. Es ist ein Sammelbegriff für alle Personen, die im Patriarchat unterdrückt werden. Das Sternchen steht für alle in FLINTA nicht erwähnten Personen, die aufgrund ihrer geschlechtlichen Identität/sexuellen Orientierung diskriminiert werden.

BONN BASH 2026 – OFFICIAL & OPEN GERMAN VERT SKATEBOARDING CHAMPIONSHIP
On Saturday, 12 September 2026, the halfpipe in Rheinaue Park becomes the stage for Germany’s best vert skateboarders: for the first time, the traditional Bonn vert skateboarding event BONN BASH will be held as the official German Championship in Vert Skateboarding. The contest is organised by the SuBCulture Bonn e.V., which has maintained the Rheinaue halfpipe as an established training and competition venue in Bonn for years.
The event starts at 10 a.m. and runs with an open end. Alongside the competition itself, visitors can look forward to a supporting programme with catering: two food trucks, a drinks stand and a coffee cart will provide refreshments on site.
Background: One of Germany’s most storied vert ramps
The halfpipe in Bonn’s Rheinaue is regarded as one of the most significant outdoor vert ramps in Germany and has already hosted international contests such as the Eastpak SuB Session, the Ezekiel Subvert Session and the Rheinkultur Vert Jam. Today’s ramp — a G-Ramp 12 metres wide and 4.25 metres high with a Skateflex© surface — was built and maintained by SuBCulture Bonn e.V. with the support of Sparkasse KölnBonn and numerous volunteers, after the original ramp had to be closed due to age. While vert contests are becoming increasingly rare across Europe, Bonn keeps one of the last great traditions of this skateboarding discipline alive with the BONN BASH — and in 2026, by hosting the official & open German Championship, it becomes the sporting highlight of the scene.

Programme overview
The contest will take place on 12 September 2026 in dry weather. The official start of the event is 10 a.m. The first contest is expected to begin at 11 a.m. with the Kids category. We reserve the right to publish a schedule, as it can only be finalised on the day of the event depending on the size of the field of entrants.
Categories
Men – Pro/Am category, men, age group 14–39: scored both for the open competition (Bonn Bash) and for the German Championship (requirements: German citizenship and membership of a skateboarding club affiliated with the governing body DRIV). Prize money & merchandise prizes for Bonn Bash 2026 Men, and prize money for the German Champion.
Women – Pro/Am category, women/FLINTA*, age group 14–39: scored both for the open competition (Bonn Bash) and for the German Championship (requirements: German citizenship and membership of a skateboarding club affiliated with the governing body DRIV). Prize money & merchandise prizes for Bonn Bash 2026 Women, and prize money for the German Champion.
Kids – age group under 14, girls & boys. Not scored for the German Championship. Merchandise prizes.
Masters – age group 40 and over, men & women. Not scored for the German Championship. Prize money & merchandise prizes.
You may only enter in one category. Kids & Masters may alternatively enter in the Pro/Am category. Under the current statutes, only entrants aged 14 and over can win the title of official German Champion.
Contest format
Bonn Bash 2026 uses the „Jam format“ officially recognised by World Skate: groups of 3 to 9 skaters share the vert ramp for a set period of time (10–15 minutes). Instead of competing completely in isolation according to a rigid schedule of individual runs, skaters within their group take turns doing individual runs or trick attempts following a set starting order. Scores are published once the entire category has finished. Each heat is preceded by 10–15 minutes of practice. Every category features a qualification jam. The top 6 riders from this preliminary round qualify for the final. The riders‘ scores (0–100 points) determine the final ranking within each category. The best male and female rider in the Men & Women categories who qualify for the German Championship classification become German Champions. The Kids contest is run directly as a final.
The final event of the day is the Best Trick contest. Every registered rider is eligible to take part. 20–30 minutes of Best Trick practice, followed by a 20–30 minute Best Trick session. The rider with the best trick wins.
In addition, there will be open practice sessions of about 30 minutes throughout the day. On the day of the event, open practice runs until 11 a.m. The ramp is also available at any time for joint practice sessions in the days leading up to the event.
What does FLINTA* mean?
FLINTA* stands for women (Frauen), lesbian, inter*, non-binary, trans* and agender people. It is an umbrella term for all people who are oppressed under patriarchy. The asterisk stands for all people not explicitly named in FLINTA who are discriminated against because of their gender identity/sexual orientation.
